Global Leaders Summit 2018
DISRUPTION IS THE NEW NORMAL

Throughout the history of mankind, there have always been those who accepted the status quo and those who changed the game for good.

Just think of the industrial revolution, the creation of the internal combustion engine, the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, Apollo 11 or the advent of the all-encompassing Internet.

Within the heavy vehicle sector, we have our very own examples of game changers – individuals and corporations that have the potential to change entire industries, even political agendas, with nothing but an idea.

Identifying those key disruptors and the innovation challenges they are facing will be the main focus of the 2018 Global Heavy Vehicle Leaders Summit. Hosted by the Australian Road Transport Suppliers’ Association (ARTSA) in association with leading innovative companies and organisations, the Summit will give key decision makers a forum to share business intelligence and find strategies to capitalise on the disruptive forces and game changing events in today’s world.

ARTSA Modification and Innovation Conference 2017

The Modifications and Innovation conference was organised by ARTSA in conjunction with the CVIAV and CVIAA with VACC providing their facilities for the event. Trailer and PrimeMover Magazine were media partners and will be reporting on the event and also printing a wall chart to assist with understanding of the Modifications Code in future editions.

The conference was designed to gather feedback for the review of the Modifications (VSB6) Code being undertaken by the NHVR. Over 130 people attended, many of whom are AVE’s and who work with this Code on a daily basis. Their practical knowledge is immense and was the key to ensuring many productive discussions. The event was very successful in engaging with the Regulator and a series of feedback suggestions will flow from this engagement. Below are papers presented at the conference and a photo gallery of the event.
